I love technology, but there are definitely flaws in the way we use it, and especially the way we manage when things go wrong.

I really wish there were better programs or resources in place to help you recover files from broken hard drives. I know it can be slightly more difficult when hard drives are corrupted, but I have had three external hard drives fail or break for no good reason and I haven't been able to get my files back. My only memory storage item that hasn't failed me is my r4i, let's hope I haven't jinxed it!

For some of them it was a matter of the power point breaking, so all I needed was for someone to fix or replace that part and I'd be able to use my drive again or at least recover my files. But there is no such service! Warranties mean they will replace the drive for you, but you have to give them the old one and you can't recover your files!
