The National Lotto

I have recently started playing the game that i have affectionately termed the national lotto . It’s a brilliant game in which you purchase a ticket with selected numbers printed on. The ticket is only valid for one game, and they play twice a week (on Wednesday and on Saturday). Once you’ve bought a ticket, you tune in to a live TV draw in which the numbers for that game are selected. The presenter picks the balls out of a giant mixer and reads the numbers out. The numbers also appear on screen to help you remember which numbers have been selected. Then you have to check your ticket to see if the numbers that you selected match the numbers selected by the TV presenter. The more numbers you have the same, the more money you win. If you have less than 3 matches, you win nothing at all. Sometimes people win the jackpot, which can be as high as 50 million pounds! If nobody wins, then they have what is called a ‘rollover’ where the money from the previous game is carried over in a fund for the players of the next game.
